Ben Wearing, a long-time member of the Latin Mass Community at Our Lady of Sorrows and now a member of Old St. Patrick Oratory told us a wonderful story that we wanted to share.Ben was married to his beautiful wife, Margaret Wearing for many years before she died 8 years ago. Ben wasn't sure what to do with Margaret's wedding dress from 1965 that had been hanging in the closet since her death.
The solution: Ben donated the wedding gown to the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of Apostles for use in future profession of vows ceremonies of the sisters. What a wonderful and creative use for this special sentimental garment.
